UMC implodes!

On May 28, 2024, 1.2 million members exited the United Methodist Church according to the Institute on Religion and Democracy. The entire conference of the United Methodist Church in Ivory Coast voted themselves out of the UMC.

Steven Brakey

Steven Brakey is a long term resident of the Bangor area. He is a graduate of the University of Maine and Grace Evangelical College and Seminary. He has served as a pastor in Brewer and Downeast. He has also served in leadership or preached in a number of denominations including United Methodist, Episcopal, Congregational (UCC, CCC, CCCC), Christian Reformed, and Reformed Church in America. He is currently an ordained deacon and church planter in the Global Methodist Church.
